BloggerMother Is Moving Away From Social Media

If you have been following this blog for a while now, you may notice that I haven’t really been active in promoting my posts on social media. I know that it helps to get more people to read, but I’m just not the in-your-face kind of blogger. I don’t know.  Even in my personal social media accounts, I don’t share stuff that much, except for a few photos every now and then. That’s about it. I don’t even greet my family and friends through their Facebook Walls during their birthdays. On some occasions, I’d comment on some of my friends’ posts, react to them, but never really did use it for chronicling my dailies. Nah. Just not me.

The only thing I’m leaving “active” for now is my YouTube channel and Instagram (for videos and pictures). No more Facebook or Twitter for now. There’s really no use for me to keep those channels at this point–I rarely use them. And I think most people don’t really look for blogs when browsing through stuff on Facebook and Twitter. It’s time-consuming enough already, keeping this blog alive, so I’m not going to spend more of my time managing other channels.

Plus, social media is toxic enough these days. I don’t really want to add to that stress that you get from your newsfeed :D. But, seriously, I don’t really mind if I don’t have a social media presence. I ain’t no hotshot blogger/vlogger or celebrity, anyway. I am just a regular mom, trying to juggle through different things every single day. So what if I only exist in the blogosphere? I can live with that. Not really closing doors completely, but it might take me a while if ever I plan to get those channels up and running again. So long for now (through social media)! Imma spend more time here for a long while. Arrivederci!
